The most important differences between OpenBSD and MirOS include a completely rewritten bootloader and boot manager, a slim base system without NIS, Kerberos, BIND and i18n, binary security updates for stable releases, and current versions of the GNU developer toolchain.

About YES
|
YES Linux is an idea started by Arthur Copeland, CEO of Saphari.com. The idea was to build a low cost suite of products and services that could enable a Mom and Pop Store (MaPs) to quickly and easily build an internet presence. It was understood that not all MaPs need to have an internet presence, thus the suite would also have to work while not being connected to the internet. To the MaPs, it should be transparent. Thus, YourESale was born... and the rest is history. MaPs - MaPs are defined as companies that have between 1 and 20 employees or total gross revenue of less than $200,000.00 per year.

Distribution Release: YES Linux 2.1.1 |
|
A new version of YES Linux is now available: "YES Corporation would like to announce the immediate availability of YES Linux 2.1 Build 1. We are very excited about this release because for the first time we feature Virtual Host support. Users have the option of using either a one step web-based or a one step command line interface. Using either interface, the Virtual Hosting system allows for the creation, enabling, or disabling of Virtual Hosts in a completely modular configuration. This means that no two Virtual Hosts share a configuration information, making maintenance of each Virtual Host easier and have a lower cost. We have fixed a configuration bug that affected authentication using WebDav. Now WebDav authenticates properly for both the primary website and all virtual hosts."
