The third Community Test Release (CTR) of Santa Fe Linux has been released for download and testing: "Santa Fe Linux Community Test Release 3 (CTR3) is out. This version fixes most of the outstanding issues with CTR2.1. Short of minor fixes, this will be the final release before Santa Fe Linux goes gold." The announcement can be read on the distribution's news page. Download: SantaFeCTR3.iso (600MB); also available via BitTorrent. Santa Fe Linux is a new Debian-based desktop Linux distribution with the goal of putting the best open source applications within the reach of non-technical users through hardware autodetection and pre-configured software for common tasks, including hassle-free multimedia playback.
