The Kubuntu project, a subproject of Ubuntu Linux, has announced a preview release of Kubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger": "The Kubuntu 5.10 Preview is now available. This is the beta release for the next version of Kubuntu. New in this release is: the latest KDE 3.4.2, OpenOffice.org 2 beta 2, X.Org 6.8.2. Other new features include: Krita - state of the art bitmap image editor, Katapult - an advanced application and item launcher, System Settings - a user friendly replacement for KControl, a simplified Konqueror profile." The release announcement shares the highlights: "The Kubuntu team is happy to announce that Kubuntu 25.04 has been released. Code-named 'Plucky Puffin', Kubuntu 25.04 continues our tradition of giving you Friendly Computing by integrating the latest and greatest open-source technologies into a high-quality, easy-to-use Linux distribution. The release features the latest KDE Plasma 6.3 desktop, KDE Gear 24.12.3, Linux kernel 6.14 and many other updated applications and libraries.
