PHLAK
PHLAK (Professional Hacker's Linux Assault Kit) was a modular security distribution, geared to be used as a live CD. PHLAK was created to become the only tool security professionals would need to perform security analysis, penetration testing, forensics, and security auditing. PHLAK comes with two light GUIs (fluxbox and XFCE4), packages for printing, publishing, a little multimedia, many security tools, and a file cabinet full of security related documentation for your reading/educational purposes. This distro was based off of Morphix.

Anurag Bhandari has announced the availability of a test release of Granular Linux, a desktop distribution based on PCLinuxOS: "On the behalf of Team Granular, it's my pleasure to announce the availability of Granular 0.90 test version. Sticking to our primary motto of giving Granular an easy-to-use interface, Esto Vello has been developed so as to suit both - the newbies and the regular Linux users. Based on PCLinuxOS 2007, Granular 0.90 comes with many added features, applications, and a more polished look. The first preview of Granular Linux 1.0, a desktop distribution based on PCLinuxOS, has been released: "It is my pleasure to announce the availability of Granular 1.0 (Preview), the successor to Granular 0.90. Built on huge improvements over the preceding version, this release is more stable, user-friendly, usable, and more fun to use. Granular 1.0 will be the most ambitious release for the Granular Project, and this release is just one step in that direction."
