Agathoklis Prodromou has announced the release of 3CX Phone System 10, a major update of the company's specialist Linux distribution designed for VoIP telephony. The new version is based on Debian 10 "Buster" and it comes with the latest version of 3CX telephony software, build 18.0.1.237, released last month. From the release announcement: "Our latest 3CX ISO is now available bringing the latest version of Debian 10 and 3CX v18 Update 1. The new ISO image supports Microsoft Hyper-V Gen2 virtual machines with 'Secure Boot' enabled for additional protection. Debian 'Buster' version 10.11. Keeping your instance as up-to-date and secure as possible is a key priority for us. That is why, unlike other PBXs, we make sure that our ISO image files support the latest operating system. This means that you receive regular updates to strengthen security, increase performance and reduce resource requirements." Further information about the latest version of the 3CX telephony software is available in the changelog. Here is the link to download the "netinst" CD image: debian-amd64-netinst-3cx.iso (378MB).

 |
3CX Phone System is a specialist Linux distribution designed for VoIP telephony. The project's latest "netinst" image includes a standard Debian installer which automatically installs the Linux edition of the 3CX VoIP software. A release candidate is now available for testing: "Service Pack 4 is here in time for the holidays and it's packed with new features and improvements. The V15 Linux edition is now a release candidate. We added a DECT / FXS provisioning feature that allows you to easily provision a DECT-base station and assign handsets to individual extensions. Furthermore, a new reporting module and many fixes to the reports. We have also closed the feature gap between Linux and Windows further by introducing fax, failover and the directory service to the Linux edition. You can apply these updates from the updates page in the management console." See the release announcement for more details and a list of new features. Interested testers can download the installation CD image from here: debian-8.6.0-amd64-netinst-3cx.iso (265MB, pkglist). |

Euronode
Euronode was a set of Debian GNU/Linux-based distributions, which transform a simple computer into a high-performance server or router in a few minutes. Euronode scripts automate the process of installation and configuration: auto-detection of devices, partitioning, automatic installation, and auto-configuration of the system and services. The Euronode project provides three product branches: "Minimal Woody" (basic debootstrap); "Simple DSL/cable Firewall" (a simple and secure Internet connection sharing with auto-detection of ethernet and USB modems) and "Advanced DSL/cable Firewall" (Simple Firewall + anti-virus + anti-spam + home web hosting).
