rlxos is an independent Linux distribution which runs on an immutable filesystem and features the Xfce desktop. The project's latest release is rlxos 2.0 "Sankalpa" which introduces a number of new features and tweaks to the user interface. "We've improved various theming components like, drop-down menus and panel with better spacing and translucency. We've also switched to Fira Code for monospace fonts, a great choice for developers with stylish coding ligatures. Finding and opening apps is now simpler with the new grid-based app menu. It's more organized, visually appealing, and works well on both desktops and touchscreens. Default shell is replaced to zsh configured with auto-suggestions and other help full plugins for easy to access shell commands. rlxos now comes with a graphical software manager, making it super easy to install, update, and manage Flatpak apps with just a few clicks." Additional information can be found in the distribution's release announcement. Download: rlxos-stable-installer.iso (2,203MB, SHA256, pkglist). |

rlxos is an independent Linux distribution which runs on an immutable filesystem and features the Xfce desktop. The project has made some significant changes for its latest stable release, swapping out the GNOME desktop in favour of Xfce and using Swupd for software updates. "Silaghana marks the major release of RLXOS, encompassing significant changes, exciting features, and the potential to break backward compatibility. Here's a glimpse of what Silaghana offers: Desktop environment switch: We've transitioned from GNOME to Xfce4 - significantly faster and lighter; simplified interface without compromising usability; highly configurable to meet various user requirements. Swupd for seamless updates - Swupd empowers both developers and end-users to flexibly manage system updates via libostree; users can review update changelogs before applying them; Swupd facilitates temporary safe mutability within the system." Additional details on the new release can be found in the project's release announcement. Download: rlxos-x86_64-stable.iso (2,597MB, SHA256, pkglist). |

Lineox Enterprise Linux
Lineox Enterprise Linux was based on source RPM packages from which Red Hat Enterprise Linux was compiled. Lineox Enterprise Linux contains all programs included in various Red Hat Enterprise Linux variations (Advanced Server (AS), Entry/Mid Server (ES), and Workstation (WS)). It also contains programs included in separately sold Red Hat Cluster Suite and Red Hat Developer Suite. Lineox has removed and replaced all files of Red Hat Enterprise Linux which have restrictive copyright by Red Hat, Inc. Lineox has also tried to remove all user-visible references to Red Hat in Lineox Enterprise Linux. The most notable difference between Lineox Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux was the support options provided by Red Hat, Inc. Lineox, Inc. does not provide any support for Lineox Enterprise Linux with the base product. Lineox, Inc. however plans to provide binary package updates for Lineox Enterprise Linux as long as Red Hat, Inc. provides updates for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in source package format.
