Installed as guest in Virtualbox running on Win11 without a hitch, it ran smoothly while I poked around without incident. I couldn't install the VBoxAdditions because the kernel headers needed to be installed first, I've no doubt that can be done with very little research but I wanted to install to bare metal next so I didn't bother. After setting aside a partition on the ssd drive I installed it and again, no issues. Now to how it looks and feels. For those who have been around since Win95 this in many ways is reminiscent of those days, perhaps even an early beta of Win95 because the final release Win95 was a very polished product of it's time whereas this is more like a run-up to that point. It is functional though a little clunky but clunky never hurt anyone right? It's modest use of ram is no doubt of interest to anyone running an antique or hand-me-down, for everyone else it's very snappy as one might expect. The first shock I got was opening the installed web browser. Forgive me I've forgotten the name of it and to be frank I think thats a good thing, much like not recalling the details of an serious accident one has been involved in, as the mind attempts to save one from the stress. The browser had a link to the BBC website so I thought right then, let's take a look-see.. but no! It cannot correctly display the BBC's website. I know.. criminal right?! ANyhoo... so this distro works, it runs, it's small, it's quick, and before anyone says it... it's free.

This is a rating and my impressions for the version 45.0, 64bit (and not for version 44.0) which I downloaded from the website. It installs in about 30 seconds from Ventoy. Ram usage is relatively high, at about 2.1GB, because everything probably is loaded into ram. The CPU usage is extremely low when compared to every other Linux distribution I have tried and is very similar to Windows when watching YouTube videos on the latest Firefox. Shut down is extremely fast, which is about 2 seconds. The only reason why I cannot use it as an experimental daily driver is because it does not recognize encrypted media, and thence does not prompt for a password for me to open the USB drive. If not for this, I would have installed and given a more comprehensive impression on this quaint and extremely low on CPU resources Linux operating system. Till the glitch is sorted, I shall continue with Devuaan and wattOS as a daily driver on two different desktops.

Without question, this is definetly my all time favorite independent Linux distro. It has everything I need from a totally minimalist desktop. I love JWM, and the way this distro looks is beautiful. This distro is very fast. Has up to date Kernal, up to date Firefox (available), the newest version of Libreoffice (available), and very old, but playable games. No package manager, but has lots of software through the extensions, and it installs in less than 2 minutes. The website isn't the best, but it's informative, and lets you know what to do.

Needs build tools included.
ie: DKMS ,build-essential ,make ,e.tc.
Yet another distro with no way of building my wifi driver from the rtl88x2bu.zip file i have.
Oh well ,apart from that , a nice looking small relase that seems to run well on low power machines.
Didn't spend much time with it due to no internet.

Great little distro.
It looks good if though it's a very small OS.
Though most of the programs are shortcuts that require downloading if you want to use them.
A good way to limit the size and only install the things you really need.
So the size will increase once you start installing some of the things in your start menu.
Still ,i like it.
Proves you can still do a nice looking desktop while keeping the size small.
Great little distro.
It looks good if though it's a very small OS.

Blazingly fast. Very user-friendly. The ease of installing some Wine apps is a great addition. Also, installing other software like Pale Moon, is a breeze.
The dev, Zbigniew, is very helpful on the linuxquestions.org forum (4MLinux section).
The downsides are a lack of 32-bit support for very old computers and a small repo of apps.
