It's very simple Linux and if you need to run a system from USB for some simple things, this is the best in my opinion and easiest as well. Somehow they managed to make it work in the way that makes perfect sense for my needs.
Setup worked,
You have modules,
You can create modules if you want (haven't tried that yet though),
It can run from RAM memory (perfect!),
You can add parameters to grub during boot (like timezone, keyboard layouts and so on),
Saves everything at reboot or shutdown.
Great! I don't really need anything else from a kiosk kind of system.
Thanks so much to the developer!

Pretty Amazing distro. Its fast become my favourite for these reasons. Nvidia drivers where super easy to install via the appstore and worked. I was able to choose my favourite browser from the appstore aswell. It offers things like steam and crucially Neovim which has package manager plugins so you're not reliant on slackware packages. Additionally Nix package manager could be installed to overcome limited or outdated slackware versions. Everything you need. Although an installer would be helpful to install it to hard drive even though its supposed convenient to run from live medium. My choice of distro as so far its one of the only non systemd source based distro that makes it easy to install nvidia drivers. Very clean and polished finnish too.

Great distro! It booted surprisingly fast, under 10 seconds on my VirtualBox. LXDE was running smoothly on my VirtualBox with only 2 GB of memory (maybe this is an overkill for such a light distro). Sadly, I can't install anything nor save my configuration, not even a browser. I have activated the devel and crippled from github, but the OS still can't write anything (maybe because it was set to Always Fresh as the default, and I just can't change it). As someone new in the linux world, I think I would have master it in a month or two. I thought that linux distros would be hard to use, but proteux definitely surpassed my expectations. I just tried it for a couple of days, can't say much about it; however, I was amazed on how small and easy it was to run.

Really nice distro. You can see the developers worked hard! Nice to see xfce 4.20 on it! Also booted suprisingly fast, probaly faster than alpine linux. Would definetly recomend! Ram usage was a little high, but guess thats just xfce 4.20's new features. Im not sure what they mean by minimal tho. Office was installed and there was also a gui app store(nice to see but not minimal). Also using it is a bit confusing compaired to other distros, like the package manager is different. Having a background with slackware will also help make using this distro better. Overall i would recomend, I only used it for a couple of minutes so don't take my review as gospel.
