It is a very user-friendly distribution and easy to use, ideal both for people who are just starting in the Linux world and for more experienced users who are looking for a stable and well-organized system. From the very first moment, you can notice the care that has been put into the user experience, something that often makes the difference between just another distribution and one that is truly enjoyable to use on a daily basis.
One of the aspects I liked the most is the “welcome” tool, as it is very helpful during the first steps after installing the system. These types of tools make the whole process much simpler and more accessible, especially for people who are not used to manually configuring certain parts of the system. Thanks to this welcome panel, installing drivers, essential programs, and performing basic configurations becomes quick and intuitive.
In addition, having all those options organized in one place saves a lot of time. Instead of having to search through different menus or rely on complicated commands, users can find what they need in a clear and direct way. The version I am reviewing is the Soplos "TYSON 1.0.3 Beta 1" which is the KDE PLASMA 6 version. First of all when you first start up the first thing you recognize are the very intersting color choices Orange Yellow Black and its really nice. The welcome screen to install is very easy 1 click and you get Calamares Installer which is my favorite and the easiest for new Linux users. Once installed you get the Soplos Welcome app. This app is your best friend! this app has everything. From Kernels, Drivers, Tons of Apps andthey all have descriptions of what they are which is nice. GAMERS will love this, #1 its Debian Testing so its kind of a Rolling release with some of the latest drivers. The gamer software section of the Welcome app has Everything a gamer needs. Steam, Wine, Bottles and a whole lot more. This Distribution is something you should try for yourself, i think you will be exptremely impressed. This is some professional stuff!! Good Stuff. KUDOS to the Soplos Tyson Programming team!!!!

Love that this is based on Debian Testing and love the tools. It installed with no problems with a typical Calamares installer. But as soon as I updated and rebooted, my WiFi disappeared. Network-manager is installed, and if I go into System Settings/Network my WiFi does show, but I can't log into it.
Also not a fan of having to authenticate to use my external drives. If WiFi worked, I'd do my research and figure out how to change it, but the combination of the two issues make it a Soplos a deal-breaker.
I'm using an Acer Aspire laptop
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H (16) @ 4.90 GHz
RAM: 16 GiB
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics @ 1.50 GHz [Integrated]
This is my first Intel laptop. I've always had AMD before. Finding way too many distros have issues with "Intel inside". Prolly won't buy another Intel.

I have installed it for a test.
My config HP 6550 Notebook 4 GB RAM
A Lot of nice Tools and very fast.
The Color Theme and the bootloader is also very nice.
There is also a new Homepage on the net an the Version is now on Beta 1.0.0.1 for Tyson.
Its very smooth to activate snap, flathub, flatpack, Google repository and so on.
The Software what is installed is simple Package.
You can choose with a app what browser you Wang to Download.
Also you can choose simple a Game optimised Kernel.

I’ve been closely following the Soplos Linux project for months. A distro based on Debian testing, with an XFCE and KDE Plasma flavor This Distro is actualy in beta..
Few distros pay so much attention to detail and design. Soplos is made to be very pleasant and easy to use. Focused on design and content creation, it comes with software developed by the Soplos team that allows you to install NVIDIA and AMD drivers with a single click, switch kernels, install the latest versions of programs like DaVinci Resolve, Blender... and a bunch of applications that aren’t available in other distributions.
For me, this project deserves a 10/10.

Soplos Linux is a fresh alternative with an Xfce desktop that makes it attractive for low-resource computers.
For being Xfce-based, the design of this distribution is very well polished. It provides stability despite being a Debian-based rolling release.
Credit must be given to its creator, who is making an effort on his own to develop the two branches of this distribution: Tyron (Xfce) and Tyson (Plasma 6). And in no less than 8 languages!!
Soplos’ programs make using these distros easy for newcomers to Linux.
Recommended for all uses.
I understand that the beta version of these distributions will be released in a few days.

This project is truly interesting because it provides new users with tools that make the Linux experience enjoyable. Additionally, the developer has done an excellent job customizing the desktop environment’s appearance, especially in the Tyron version, which uses XFCE. The default appearance that Soplos Linux Tyron comes with is truly pleasant, further demonstrating that the XFCE desktop environment is highly customizable and that it is possible to achieve an aesthetic look comparable to other desktops that are naturally more modern. Soplos Linux is an excellent, interesting, and innovative distribution.
