NetBSD gains ASLR |
 |
Though it was introduced with little fan fare, the NetBSD operating system now includes support for address space layout randomization (ASLR), a feature which makes it difficult for attackers to guess the locations of data in memory. The feature was added by Christos Zoulas and enables the security feature on 64-bit x86 machines. The added security will make it harder for attackers to compromise applications running on the highly portable operating system.
