elementary gains full-time contributor |

Some good news came out of the elementary OS camp this week. elementary OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution featuring the Pantheon desktop environment. The elementary team has gained a new full-time contributor, Cassidy James. He has been working for System76 and volunteering spare time to elementary OS for a while now, but is making a shift to working for the elementary distribution full-time. "Thanks to the continued support from our community as well as a large private contribution, I now have the opportunity to do all of this full time as my career. I plan to continue to focus on the areas I've been working on as a volunteer, plus dedicate time to working with OEMs, app developers, and other parties to help keep elementary financially sustainable."
