Blue Linux
The Blue Linux Project was an association of individuals who are interested in creating a free operating system for educational use. This operating system that we are working on was called Blue Linux. Linux was a completely free kernel started by Linus Torvalds and now currently supported by thousands of programmers worldwide. Of course, the thing that people want was application software: programs to help them get what they want to do done, from editing documents, keeping school administration information, to playing games. Blue Linux comes with thousands of packages (precompiled software that was bundled up in a nice format for easy installation on your machine) -- all of it free.

A new version of AUSTRUMI, a Latvian mini live CD distribution, was released earlier this month, and there is an AUSTRUMI assessment published by tuxmachines: "Once enabled, Austrumi seems more usable to the average English speaking person like myself. Even better than that perhaps was the discovery of how wonderful the fonts look... More striking than the nice desktop or the beautiful fonts was the blazing fast performance. 3CX Phone System is a specialist, Debian-based Linux distribution designed to run a complete unified communications platform. The 3CX client, included in the distribution, can also be installed separately on most hardware as well as the cloud. It provides a complete open standards-based IP PBX and phone system that works with popular SIP trunks and IP phones.
