VAST (VIPER Assessment Security Tools)
VAST was a Linux-based security distribution specifically designed for penetration testing VoIP and UC networks. It enables security professionals and UC administrators to rapidly perform VoIP security assessments and enumerate vulnerabilities in IP Phones or IP PBX servers in a lab environment. With VAST, a security consultant has every tool necessary to carry out a successful on-site or remote penetration test or vulnerability assessment against a UC network. VAST was built on Linux Mint and includes all of the open source VIPER Lab tools, in addition to some other network penetration testing tools.

Antonio Rendón Ruiz has announced the release of SKUDONET 7.2.0, un updated version of the project's specialist Debian-based distribution whose primary purpose is to serve as a load balancer and application delivery system. This new release brings various improvements in the IPDS (Intrusion Prevention and Detection System) module, together with a few bug fixes. "SKUDONET 7.2.0 Community Edition. New Features: added IPDS WAF module; added geolocation support for WAF; added Lua 5.2 support for WAF; added Highlighting language for SecLang and Lua. Improvements: ssl - avoid deleting Default System Certificate; farms - disabled SSLv2 and TLSv1 by default in HTTPS farms; api - improved Backup action messages; networking - added a check for running DHCP daemons at starting DHCP; system - save farmguardian binary files in the backup. Bug fixes: networking - fixed unset of Bonding and NICs when DHCP is enabled; system - fixed update packages action requiring other repositories dependencies." Antonio Rendón Ruiz has announced the release of SKUDONET 7.1.0, the latest build of the project's specialist Debian-based distribution whose primary purpose is to serve as a load balancer and application delivery system. This brand-new release is based on Debian 12.5 and uses version 6.1.90 of the Linux kernel. "New SKUDONET release 7.1.0 Community edition. New features: added DHCP to NIC and VLAN; added support for FQDN as backend IP in HTTP farms; added a new directive TLSv1.3 for HTTPS farms. Improvements: added more 100Continue modes; added QEMU hypervisor in the dashboard; added a UDP check using nc; added CSR Key Get call; move the migrating scripts to old version; sort logs files and reverse content; add retries when restarting farms in Let's Encrypt renewal action; disable TLS versions logic has been improved; HTTP proxy uses SSLv3 libraries. Bug fixes: fixed nftables package dependency; fixed Farm graphs when the farm name starts with 'dev'."
