| Package search |
Search the DistroWatch database for distributions using a particular package. If you are looking for a distribution with the latest kernel, select "linux" from the drop-down box below and type the version number into the text box next to it. Please note that the best way to obtain the GNOME version is by searching for "nautilus", while KDE Plasma is represented by the "plasma-desktop" package. Apache 2.x is listed as "httpd". As for versioning, if no version number is provided, this page will return any recent versions of the selected package. It is also possible to perform searches for distributions which do not contain a specific package. This returns a list of distributions where the given package is not present on the installation media.
The package version search offers the ability to search for packages which are close
to a specific version, exactly equal to a specific version, greater than or less than
a given version. The second field in the search form allows visitors to switch between
these relations. Most people will probably want to use the like option as it will
search for packages close to a given version. When no version is specified, like
finds packages close to the latest version.
This page can be used to display all distributions which contain a specific package
or version of a package. We also have search pages which display a
side-by-side comparison of all packages
between two distributions. We also provide a package which shows the version of a selected
package in all active distributions.
Have fun and let us know how we can improve the search engine!

| Search by Distribution Criteria (Simple Search Form) |
This section allows you to search for a particular distribution based on certain criteria. Select the criteria from the drop-down and check boxes below and hit the Submit Query button to get a list of known distributions that match your choice.
The following distributions match your criteria (sorted by popularity):
1. spirit OS (181) spirit OS is a lightweight remaster of Tiny Core Linux, designed for very old 32-bit computers without UEFI. It includes the IceWM window manager, full multimedia support (video and music with codecs), WiFi tools and the Dillo web browser. It is powered by glibc and a recent Linux kernel. The ISO image weighs less than 400 MB and includes fewer than 300 packages, including GPicView (a fast and simple image viewer), ROX-Filer (a minimal and responsive file manager), VLC (a media player), XMMS (a retro-style music player), and compression tools for handling various archive formats. Extra software can be installed using xpkg.
2. Synex (327) Synex is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Debian's "Stable" branch, developed with the official Debian Live Build tool. It offers four separate desktop options with GNOME, LXDE, KDE Plasma and Xfce, all of which are composed of a rather frugal set of applications in its default state, without any development tools or offices suites. Some of the distribution's main features include Calamares installer with support for both BIOS and UEFI, CUPS integration for printing and network support, out-of-the box support for Flatpak applications, official NVIDIA driver installation assistant with support for both X11 and Wayland, and additional repositories containing Microsoft Edge, OnlyOffice and Zabbix.
3. Huayra GNU/Linux (368) Huayra GNU/Linux is a Debian-based Linux distribution developed in Argentina by Educ.ar, a state-owned company, under the "Conectar Igualdad" government programme. It contains open educational resources and applications that are useful in the school setting, for which it was designed. The distribution uses the MATE desktop environment. Apart from many popular open-source applications, Huayra GNU/Linux also ships a number of custom-built tools, including Huayra Share (for sharing files between two computers running this system, without the need for Internet connection), Huayra Motion (for creating stop motion graphics), Huayra TDA Player (for watching free-to-air digital television), and Pilas Engine (a video game development environment).
4. EterTICs GNU/Linux (372) EterTICS GNU/Linux is a specialist operating system designed for community radios, principally the ones broadcasting in Latin America. It is based on Devuan and uses the Calamares system installer and the LXQt desktop environment. The distribution comes with a large range of specialist software used in radio broadcasting, such as automation tools (G-Radio, Raboms), audio editors (Audacity, Ardour), streaming applications (Butt, OBS Studio, Darkice), security and privacy tools (Tor, KeePassXC, Signal), as well as a long list of audio utilities, including audio and codecs analyzers, converters, mixers, recorders and related tools and plugins. It supports Spanish, Portuguese and English languages.
5. Quirinux (386) Quirinux is a Devuan-based Linux distribution designed for the development of animated films. The project provides tools to create an animated film using various common techniques (traditional, digital, cut-out, CGI-3D, stop motion, motion graphics) using open-source software. The distribution uses the Xfce desktop and its main features include ease of installation with the Calamares system installer, GIMP image editor that comes with a configurator tool and extra plugins, and choice of themes and desktop layouts.
