Reducing the number of programs for the same functions would be a great idea. The good thing is that AntiX 25 beta 2 looks pretty solid. I hope the stable version is upgradable via Terminal and the Base Version is made available. It's fast and I just changed my Fiferox browser to the Falkon, gaining more performance. As for the installation, it was quick and for a 2 gig machine with Celeron 900, I would say that AntiX 25 beta is already working miracles. Note 9 is a good size. Was this review helpful? The look is not the strongest trump card of the distro. Great ratio of appearance to performance.The installation process is for those who use Linux for the first time perhaps little demanding (partitioning...), otherwise the installation process runs flawless, also if you install it as dual-boot version. The update process is excellent. Almost all settings are customizabe. With a little work, it can be made to look great. All in all recommendations! Was this review helpful? Drivers worked correctly out of the box, but had to do a little work to get a volume control mixer on the taskbar. This was for a teenager who isn't that technologically advanced, so I'm a little worried about how technical it is to use it, but there aren't that many options for 32-bit architectures. It does come with a bit of bloat, but most of the software is really useful or entertaining. On a 1080p display, at least one of the start menu choice lists vertically surpasses the edges of the screen, and there is no scroll, so it takes a few sudo apt purges and an autoremove.
