Table Notes and Explanations

(Please refer to the table below.)
  • Select view:
  • To compare the software in this project to the software available in other distributions, please see our Compare Packages page.
  • Notes: In case where multiple versions of a package are shipped with a distribution, only the default version appears in the table. For indication about the GNOME version, please check the "nautilus" and "gnome-shell" packages. The Apache web server is listed as "httpd" and the Linux kernel is listed as "linux". The KDE desktop is represented by the "kdelibs" and "plasma-desktop" packages and the Xfce desktop by the "xfdesktop" package.
  • Colour scheme: green text = latest stable version, red text = development or beta version. The function determining beta versions is not 100% reliable due to a wide variety of versioning schemes.

A dismal failure. Just tried Bluestar 4.13.12 version, 32 bit and a number of applications crashed - firefox, ktorrent just to name a few.

What happenned to the old Bluestar stability?

I'm using version Bluestar 4.10.6 Live at the present moment to post this on Distrowatch and it works way better than 4.13.12

Great distro!

This is the first Arch based distro I've tried that actually detected and installed my Samsung printer fine.

Good out of the box range of apps. I also installed:
Nvidia drivers (GTX970 - also booted fine dual screen with the livecd! Very rare that this happens)
Wine-staging
Steam (also requires lib32-nvidia-utils)
Changed Latte bar to only bounce once when clicking an icon as otherwise it seemed apps were slow to load.

I like the customisations to the KDE desktop. XFCE was my go-to until bluestar.

Nice touches:
Latte bar, drop-down panel with app menu.
Desktop widgets for weather, diskspace and folders
Nice default wallpapers
Archbluey on by default in terminal

It's been solid as a rock so far, even used for gaming (Pyre, Grim Dawn, etc).
