I think that GhostBSD is a very great OS, but has some problems caused by FreeBSD. I love the ZFS compatibility and it looks great with Xfce. But, there are reasons why I cannot use it as a daily driver. That is because my camera, audio, and trackpad drivers don't work. I could live with no camera and audio, and I could dualboot linux for those things, but the trackpad is a dealbreaker. I use a i2c Elantech trackpad and I have tried everything, yet nothing works. I have to use the number pad to move around, which is very slow and inconvenient. Also, the software compatibility is subpar, while that is not the BSD's fault, it is mildly annoying. If the trackpad worked, I could use it as my daily driver with a Linux dualboot, and it would be an 8. However, that is not the case. I like to play around with BSD, so I dualboot it with Arch Linux, but I use Linux as my daily driver. Also, the partitioning and GUI installer was great! Dualboot was super easy with KDE partition on Linux, and when I got to the installer, it just works! 6/10, great OS, but bad driver compatibility.

Very beautiful XFCE desktop. elegant in features, it's pretty much the OS itself. However, if you like gaming, you're going to be disappointed. Atleast the OS boots into the TTY without a graphical environment. However, it requires an integrated graphics chip in order to boot into the environment first thing. As much as I want to enjoy BSD. But unfortunately, due to BSD's design in its core philosophy with stability, software code, and support tends to grow more stale each year. And new hardware support is abysmal. Unless you are a developer yourself, don't even expect any hardware support from the community. And I think that's where GhostBSD suffers the most. However, atleast it tries to make it work for the new users.

What Ubuntu did for Debian - make it friendly for us mere mortal, typical computer users - GhostBSD has done for FreeBSD!

It's nice and "gooey" (GUI) and runs faster than ANY full-featured Linux distro that aims at the same market (like Mint, Lite, MX). I'm using the Xfce spin on an old Dell Optiplex with 8 gigs of RAM. I can't speak to WiFi issues on laptops, but upstream FreeBSD is working on that.

GhostBSD is a safe-for-beginners version of FreeBSD, fully compatible, very fast, nimble, and simple. The Software Station is a graphical way to install and remove software that reminds me of Synaptic Package Manager in Debian/Ubuntu OSes. It installed effortlessly and I had it configured to my particular tastes and needs in mere minutes.

No systemd, no Linux, nothing to be borked to heck by an update. Excellent forums where the developers appear frequently to answer questions and take input from the users.

A delight to use, I never even booted into my former OS for a whole month while testing it, and it has become my daily driver.
